Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
For over 50 years the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) has worked locally and nationally rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing animals. In 2002 the National Animal Centre in County Longford was opened. This purpose built animal rehabilitation centre is home to some of Ireland's most abused animals. The ISPCA operate a National Animal Cruelty Helpline and deal with hundreds of phone calls each week. We have 5 animal welfare inspectors who along with our affiliated societies investigate the animal welfare complaints of cruelty, neglect and abuse.
